UK: Barley exports sank by 29% reaching 612,054 t

Barley exports in 2005/06 MY dropped by 29% to 612,054 thousand tons, ProAgro-News released August 28. Shipments of barley to Spain, the main destination of Geat Britain’s grain exports, decreased by 8.7% down to 313,766 tons. Barley exports to Ireland quadrupled and reached 76,496 tons.

Barley shipments to non-EU countries also plunged 7.6 times to 23.417 tons. Exports to Tunis decreased 4 times down to 22,700 tons.
